Summary:
The party gathers to establish their history and base of operations in Starfall.

Note:
The party resides in the Dawnless District.
Current base of operation is shared with a group of Slavers under Louie Wiseland. Louie ‘takes care’ of the base when the party is out and about and uses it as a safehouse / storeroom for his goods.

Finding Purpose... And Money... Mostly Money

Summary:
The party spends the day about town, primarily looking for work.

A few encounters of note:

  • Radford acquires ‘Dusty’ from Ollie
  • Marcus acquires transport contract from House Dawnless: 200P Ash Springs Outpost
  • The party received word from Abigail that their Apocothery is in need of Yypr [Up to 300LBs]
  • The party received word from Abigail that they should be able to sell any Burnflowers they can aquire from the Solar Barrens — as they are always in demand

Day 3
Into the Sands

Summary:
The party begins their first major undertaking.
A third Inix and a handler have been acquired to help transport the goods provided by House Dawnless to the Timberlands Outpost. The first few days of the journey are smooth and without incident. but on the 5th day of the trip the party has many repeated encounters with a group of Tembo that seemed to be stalking the group.

The party decides against scavaging and instead decides to stick together and travel a little farther…

Night passes with the party set entrenched around their Inix’s with obvious signs that they are being watched…

The Sixth day of the trip begins, and not long after all signs of the Tembo vanish… Just a few miles later — the reason becomes more apparent as a swarm of Kanks descend upon the party.

While the party itself is mostly unharmed, one of the Inix’s is badly wounded and nearly succumbs to the Venom coursing through its veins…

Swarming with Love

Summary:
With the party Injured, Radford and Benji make preparations to draw away the Kanks while the party transfers their belongings to the remaining two Inixs…
Radford departs on Dusty and finds FAR more than he anticipated…
After several hours he eventually goes back to check on the party — Only to find they are still there…

Combat ensues with Radford leading most of the Kanks to the nearly incapacitated Inix while the rest of the party makes their escape…

After some distance, one of the two remaining Inix’s start to have problems as the Kank venom is working its way through its system. The party performs some emergency treatment on both the mounts as well as the injured party members and they continue the journey… After a few hours of travel they reach the Solar Barrens and decide to rest for the night…

Radford spent several hours kiting close to three hundred hit dice of pony sized beetles around to allow the party time to escape.

Day 9 - Part 2
"Today was not a very good day"

Summary:

Finishing up the last leg of the journey, the party made their way along a dried out river bed towards The Ash Springs.

Some ‘emergency’ medical treatment was provided to one of the Inix that was previously poisoned / injured…

The scavenging group found a strange occurrence by following a group of Kestrekels where dust was being constantly churned up into the air. After some debate, it was decided that it was not worth the danger of getting closer.

The party eventually made it to the Ash Springs Timberlands, and after a few more hours — made it to the outpost where their delivery was destined.

Some trade was performed with the local quartermaster, and the party was allowed access to “The Grounds Keeper” to heal / cure the injured Inix.
Ash and Glendale are sent to meet The Grounds Keeper and after several hours return with some things to feed their precious mounts.

The party then departed with great urgency, to head towards the Timberlands Trade Zone…

The Price of Food and Water...

Summary:

As the party departs the outpost with great haste, most of their belongings are left behind… Over the course of the next few hours those in the know, share what spooked them so…

The trip to the Timberlands Trade zone is otherwise uneventful, but once they arrive the find a large, but temporary city built from canvas, carapace, and the bones of various creatures… The three entryways are guarded by each of the local city-states, at least according to the flags — but it’s obvious that those standing guard are mercenaries or hirelings rather than Templar.

After restockings on supplies, and acquiring more trade goods for the return trip to Starfall, the party gets some much-needed rest in a local inn as several individuals head out on their own to explore the trade center.

Some panic ensues but is quickly quashed by those more rested and lucid as the details fall into place…

The group has now acquired new mounts, rested, and restocked… And is currently heading back to the outpost…
